Hand painted kitchen

This kitchen in Warrington was given a new lease of life.

The kitchen is 18 years old, my clients inherited the kitchen with house and have been happy with it for many years, but recently they have noticed that the kitchen is looking a little tired, like many of my clients they did not want the hassle of ripping this solid wood kitchen out and replacing it because although the kitchen was tired looking the doors and drawers were in very good condition. They all needed to be sanded, primed and finished using the best quality products.

I use the Tikkurila products on the majority of my kitchen as I truly believe that they offer the best quality in terms of durability and finish which is what is needed in one of the busiest rooms in the home.

I began by removing all the doors and drawers, they were all stripped and sanded primed with Tikkurila adhesive primer followed by two/three coats of Helmi 10 Tikkurila top coat.

My clients opted for Pavilion Grey from the Fallow and Ball colour palette, this is a popular choice, but I can honestly say the colour and shade looks different in every kitchen I have painted in this colour.

You can see from the photo that the finish on the doors and drawers are perfectly smooth and evenly finished, this is what is achieved at the hands of a specialist painter.

New handles were fitted in brushed steel giving the kitchen a brand-new look and feel.

Needless to say, my clients were more than happy with the finished look.

I love my job!!!
